Sundays at 6 still work best but the split draft at those times works just as well for me and may even encourage less people dealing away late picks since they won't have to stay at the draft as long in one sitting.

I like the split idea the best. It allows people to know that if they can't make one night that they can still possibly pick in the other night. It also shouldn't require people to be on very long either night. And if it's going to be split, then I think it needs to stay at 7 PM ET on Sunday night.

I'd really prefer to keep it all on one night as Mondays don't always work as well for me. Plus it's basically keeping the format the same, which is attended really well, and just moving it up an hour.

other people could do it true, but will they be as patient as andy and as good as andy though? andy's got soooo much patience, i don't know how he can run these drafts every year, but he's the best at it, i can't even deny that.
i remember one or two drafts i couldn't make it here in the past and i sent a list and andy followed it exactly how i wanted it. i've also been in other leagues where that wasn't the case, so if another person does step up to do it, they need to have patience and follow the draft lists like people want, otherwise that's a great way to piss folks off to mess up their draft lists. just pointing out that's something to think about if someone else does it is all, that person would need to be reliable. running a draft is a lot more work than most folks may realize.

Sure, someone else could do it.
Just prepare for that person to leave the league eventually when they go out after the draft and commit a string of murders.
I'm not opposed to someone else doing it, I just doubt we'll have any volunteers that will be able to.

This.
It's not just about following a draft list top to bottom. Whenever I've had to leave a draft list, I always have a note with it on how later picks can be affected by earlier ones. In a nutshell, it's so I don't keep getting the "top available guy" and end up with 3 of my 4 picks being LFs.

I'm working on automating this process, like you would see in any fantasy sports site. Help is on the way, just takes time for me to code it.
