Long Term Draft - AndyP - 10-26-2016 So, long term I can't do our current timing, so here are our options starting in 2068. Please vote in the poll. RE: Long Term Draft - mike - 10-26-2016 Sundays at 6 still work best but the split draft at those times works just as well for me and may even encourage less people dealing away late picks since they won't have to stay at the draft as long in one sitting. RE: Long Term Draft - mattynokes - 10-26-2016 I like the split idea the best. It allows people to know that if they can't make one night that they can still possibly pick in the other night. It also shouldn't require people to be on very long either night. And if it's going to be split, then I think it needs to stay at 7 PM ET on Sunday night. RE: Long Term Draft - cadmus2166 - 10-27-2016 I'd really prefer to keep it all on one night as Mondays don't always work as well for me. Plus it's basically keeping the format the same, which is attended really well, and just moving it up an hour. RE: Long Term Draft - mzylinski - 10-27-2016 We could always let someone else run the draft RE: Long Term Draft - 'PR' - 10-27-2016 ^^ I mean you wouldn't even need someone who had he commish password to do it either. RE: Long Term Draft - AndyP - 10-27-2016 Sure, someone else could do it. Just prepare for that person to leave the league eventually when they go out after the draft and commit a string of murders. I'm not opposed to someone else doing it, I just doubt we'll have any volunteers that will be able to. This. It's not just about following a draft list top to bottom. Whenever I've had to leave a draft list, I always have a note with it on how later picks can be affected by earlier ones. In a nutshell, it's so I don't keep getting the "top available guy" and end up with 3 of my 4 picks being LFs. RE: Long Term Draft - gillyd - 10-27-2016 I'm working on automating this process, like you would see in any fantasy sports site. Help is on the way, just takes time for me to code it. |
