3yrs - 80%
4yrs - 70%

Chicago made a very reasonable offer in this case. I think a mod vote on this should be involved. (especially since florida wanted the compensation.)

/this is why no compensation fa ever gets signed. I hear complaints about why this happens and this is exhibit A as why no one even bothers a bid.

Look at it this way. With the CUbs offer he'd only be making 17.3 extra for the 3 years. so Hmmmmmmm make 14.7mil in one year and prolly get at least that as fallback next year or sign a deal where I'm giving up lots of potential money. Which one would you choose?

When GMs stop paying more in salary and prospects for similair players mid-season I might consider it an issue with the league's set-up. I find that approach ridiculous.
