SS Elvin Andrus - Type A - GoIrish - 06-01-2011 1st round pick would go to Florida and offer would need to be more than 14.7M RE: SS Elvin Andrus - Type A - GoIrish - 06-01-2011 cubs bid 4 Years @ 8M per RE: SS Elvin Andrus - Type A - hokeyrules - 06-03-2011 CHC 1st to FLA RE: SS Elvin Andrus - Type A - dejota - 06-04-2011 he prefers fall back at this point. Rule of thums is 10% per compensation price per year added on. For example: 2yrs - 90% 3yrs - 80% 4yrs - 70% 5yrs+ - 60% See my Lambo offer. RE: SS Elvin Andrus - Type A - psbaseballfan27 - 06-04-2011 Chicago made a very reasonable offer in this case. I think a mod vote on this should be involved. (especially since florida wanted the compensation.) RE: SS Elvin Andrus - Type A - GoIrish - 06-04-2011 I will not go over 8M, so he goes back to florida RE: SS Elvin Andrus - Type A - psbaseballfan27 - 06-05-2011 /this is why no compensation fa ever gets signed. I hear complaints about why this happens and this is exhibit A as why no one even bothers a bid. RE: SS Elvin Andrus - Type A - mike - 06-05-2011 Look at it this way. With the CUbs offer he'd only be making 17.3 extra for the 3 years. so Hmmmmmmm make 14.7mil in one year and prolly get at least that as fallback next year or sign a deal where I'm giving up lots of potential money. Which one would you choose? RE: SS Elvin Andrus - Type A - dejota - 06-05-2011 When GMs stop paying more in salary and prospects for similair players mid-season I might consider it an issue with the league's set-up. I find that approach ridiculous. |
