Well here are a variety of questions:

Why not take a comp pick for Siedel? Fowler is essentially useless and Siedel was a guaranteed first round pick - this makes no sense.

No player is a 15 year lock to be with a team, that reasoning seems strange.

Did you negotiate at all with any other teams? I know of myself and at least one other team that offered on Romero - were you sure you maximized your value? If so, why do you think this is the best you could do?

to Andy, the fallback on Seidel I'm assuming would insane and at 35 years old im not sure any team on that market would want to give a first rounder and a huge contract to beat the fallback offer.

Even if siedel isn't comp value - he's sure as shit better than Fowler. Lots of teams would have given quality for a one year ace rental. Fowler is an f'n salary dump!!! Am I the only sane person left?
