This is more in response to Hick's suggestion, but I want everyone to take notice. I'm definitely open for any ideas to make this better. But what I am asking is specifically how to make the High School League more appealing. Here's how I see the differences in the 2 leagues:

High School:
Draft out of Mogul's draftee pool (with no stats)
Play 36 games

College:
Draft out of the High School seniors (with stats)
Play 48 games
Have the ability to redshirt players
Have the ability to recoup a year of eligibility due to major injury

I would just think with the better players, more information known about incoming freshmen, ability get extra years of eligibility that College would seem more appealing. Just trying to give High School something to balance the scales.

I know it happens in college too, but ineligibility, maybe? Guys could be deemed behaviorally or academically ineligible for certain periods of time based on die rolls or some kind of added "Discipline" measure for each player. This could also be used in smaller increments like suspensions or something, and it could be entered as an injury in BBM. So that way teams might not draft a kid with a "bad track record", kind of like in real life.

Also if there was a way to have two separate players for each HS student - one as a pitcher, one as a batter -then once one of the two was drafted, the other would be deleted, or designated "undraftable" for the rest of that draft. Then based on performance or team needs, the player could be re-designated as the other (pitcher if they were a batter, or vice versa).

I can brainstorm more on these later, but these would be two HS specific ideas to chew on/tweak.

I like the enthusiasm, but I think ineligibility would be getting a little too involved with the process. With making the HS regular season a little longer than it is in real life, injuries will probably have a decent enough effect, so it could also be compounding problems for teams.

Now, the 2nd idea I like. It's something I've been back and forth on about doing. I think what will happen is Mogul generated pitchers will be eligible to play 1B/LF/RF. It'd have to be simple to limit the amount of work for myself. Taking position players and giving them pitching predicteds can be done, but not something that I'd like to mess with. Obviously about any position in High School (even College) can pitch as well as play the field, but these positions will be the easiest to convert.

Sorry....not interested. I have enough to keep up being in multiple Mogul leagues and don't want to have to follow/post a separate file....unless I misunderstand?

This is a stand alone file. So if you don't want to be involved, you don't have to and you don't lose out on anything FCM related.

On the off chance that Andy does allow some of these players to enter FCM, all information derived from ABL will be posted on the forum. ABL Draftees would be entered into the Mogul Draftee Class, so you would know their vitals just like you would a regular draftee. There would be screenshots taken of their ABL stats for reference as well.

With Decker, that makes 6. We really only need 1 more, since I can always run a HS team until we fill out the league. Here's the rundown for the file update:

Rosters: Not completed. Will sim out at least 5 seasons and then moved the date to present day FCM land. Peaks and Editor will be blocked.

Settings: Done. Mostly set to mirror FCM. Are there too many 80s or 90s peaks? It's currently set to have about 19 80-89 peaks and 4.5 90+ peaks per team. It's also set to have 1 or 2 (0.3 per team) 80-89 overall players.

Schedule: Done. Everything should be balanced. High School plays 12 games against each team (6 home/away). College plays 18 games against each team (9 home/away).
