I vote for 2, although I don't know if I can make the draft on the 22nd or the 23rd it seems the most logical to me.

I say number one where u sim some then take the week off before the draft. That way the draft can saty on its normal sunday and it will give everyone time to fully scout the draft.

I think following our normal sim schedule, then break after sim 4 would be the best option. Like Mike said, it would allow more than ample time to scout (and trade). To me option 3 is not an option. Simming on back to back days is something we've set out to end. It's best to just have patience around the holidays.

Option 2 isn't bad, but with the 22nd (proposed draft) being Saturday before Christmas I can see the turnout being poor as it's probably a prime night for extended family Christmas parties.

Option 1 is good, but I think it can simply get better if we sim as much as we can before Christmas. Here's the proposal I'm talking about in full:

Sim 1: Friday 14th
Sim 2: Sunday 16th
Sim 3: Tuesday 18th
Sim 4: Friday 21st
22nd to 29th - Break
Draft: Sunday 30th (could be Friday or Saturday as well)
Sim 5: Wednesday 2nd
Sim 6: Friday 4th
etc...

This would get us back on the usual sim schedule and not throw off future seasons.

this would be ideal. we should start a draft thread (which might actually work if we have a week off), which would allow teams with the top picks to get guys they want or trade down. this would also ensure that people have time to scout instead of just kind of going in blind between finals and holiday parties. this seems like a no-loss scenario.

I could do a saturday draft since I'd be out by 7pm eastern anyway

The issue I have with the 30th is that I can't be there. If someone else is running the draft, fine. But I won't be able to as I'll be with family through the New Year holiday. Others might be in a similar boat.

One suggestion I would propose is that we have the draft on Wednesday the 2nd as the time we resume the season. It's a long break, but one I'm not afraid this league can survive.

The draft doesn't necessarily have to be the 30th, it could be the 29th or even the 28th. I think getting sim 6 done on a Friday is big thing so that we keep on our usual schedule.

I'm out of town with family from X-mas to New Years, that's the issue. I either need to run the draft before the 21st or after the 1st of January.
