People in the league seem to mostly have the game and if not can get it. The defensive upgrades eliminate some of the position change loopholes that bm 11 and 12 had. The charts that bm 13 offers are neat. The sim engine of bm 13 seems about the same but for even the small upgrades that i can see from my point of view i think the switch would be beneficial for the league. Chime in with any pros or cons. Maybe it will entice more new gms as well but that is speculative.
(Ill say this now that the main con would be that some ratings will change and it will have some effect on agents but I dont see that being a breaking point on the decision for changing because it will go both ways as far as agents go.)
My suggestion is that we switch over at the Sim to ST prior to the 2030 season

How many people on the forum are looking for '13 leagues? Just asking because, to me, the only reason to switch is to stay fresh with new GMs.

I'm not opposed to it if I can get my hands on it, but I for one will not even be considering buying Mogul until they put in real roster rules, which is long overdue.
I'm not worried about rating changes. As some go up, others will go down. Another positive is the ability to choose the buyout percentage, which I can imagine would help some of the tedious work of editing cash.

I'm fine with things as is. Larger picture. Is the league just gonna keep going (no problem with that) or are we restarting ever?

I'd just like to give another vote of confidence to BM '13. I've been looking through the default file and I'm impressed with the defensive changes. The biggest thing that I notice is defense doesn't improve as much as it used to. I think it's incredibly unrealistic for some of the defensive progressions we've seen on BM '11. You can progress defensively, but it's rare to take what would be an average defender on draft day and turn him into a Gold Glover. For BM '11 you routinely see mid 70s defensive vitals turning into very good fielders.
Back to the catcher I was referencing, with one year left to progress he's projected to improve Assists +1 and Putouts +6. This has no improvement on the big three vital ratings for defense, though I'm sure there's some minute effects to the various things listed on the skills tab. Also, in LF he's projected to improve Putouts +3, which boosts Range +1. For a one year of development Outfielders surely improve more than just +1 Range wise.

if the league doesn't feel rushed by the proposition, I think the best time to switch would be for the sim to st (following fa)

Only problem with switching now is that we'd have to test to see if the file has any unforeseen effects under '13 and give people time to get the program. If we switch, I'd say we're looking at 2031, just my opinion.
