TEX / PHI
#1
Tex receive:
SP Colin Bothwick 73/90
1B Thad MacPatrick 63/88
2B Mike Burns 71/84
2B Eric Taylor 84
500k

Phi receive:
1st overall pick in the 2029 draft (TEX)

Accept. I have a guy targeted at this spot, that at this point, I feel can change the franchise. I hope nothing funky happens between now and the draft, and that this guy becomes all I think he can be. I give away some nice pieces here, a future ace in Bothwick, a future masher in MacPatrick, and 2 solid second basemen.

We accept, gives us more specs and we have another top 5 pick pending another trade.

Until TEX can put some good reasoning to why he doesn't have a backup catcher and why he has promising prospects on the bench when there are capable players in AAA. I can't approve of any moves Texas does. This is just looking the team has zero direction.

Replace Bothwick with Suter and that's really what TEX has gotten for the #1 overall pick.

From what I see on XAT and these deals you need to take a deep breath and formulate a plan kc. This is truly awful value especially considering the best piece used to be on your team. We hold new GMs to a high standard so they don't stroll in and throw shit at the wall until the team is garbage. If you want to experiment use single player. But if not find a few GMs willing to advise (I always will) and hold off.

ok no offense to kc, but either please fire him or get a new policy on trading with new gms. i am beyond sick of the way they are treated in this league. or even better, fire me, since almost every deal i make gets up for veto. please just take a step back, and think about the way this is being run right now... please.

and also... this trade shouldnt have gotten vetoed, and thats a fact. i am giving up alot of value for the pick. im sorry, but you guys really need to get off of your vetoing rampage and think about what ur doing.
