To :Tex:
SP Jim Raines 21 86/96 draft day
SP Kirk Scudder 23 81/90 draft day
SS Joe Boucher 2476/83 draft day
To :Kcr:
SP Tomasz Torres 22 70/87 draft day
RP Ryan Campbell 19 67/93 draft day
2B Gary McEachern 23 77/92
SS Tom Plakke 18 64/90
1B Gary Bontein 22 71/87
I accept, gives us some strong pitching specs, and a solid SS spec. We feel this trade will improve our team.

Nope, going to need to hear why. Because this actually won't improve your team in my eyes. I need a breakdown on this one.

2 Future starters to help w/ this pitching staff. We have relief pitchers to cover & I'm not completely sold on Campbell. We have Walker & Boucher to hold down SS . Bojo is the better 1b in my eyes which gives us the room to go ahead and trade Bontein if it leads to increasing our Pitching. McEachern is a loss, but we have IFs who can step up and fill that void.

This really comes down to Plakke, Torres, and Campbell vs. Boucher, Scudder, and Raines.
I'm sorry, but I don't think any of the three coming from KC are particularly good. If I were to rank these specs, it would be something like Plakke-Torres-Campbell.....decent distance......Scudder-Raines.......Boucher.
I don't see how this possibly helps you.

I didn't want to part with them, but I need a good SS and 2B coming through the pipeline to replace Mcarthur and Castrejon, the rest was just to make up for the value.

imo, if you rank the specs, I get
Plakke-Raines-Scudder-Torres-Campbell-Boucher

I let the other trade go through because probably despite your best efforts, it wasn't the worst deal I've seen. I would've thought in the least it would have been something to learn from. This is just utter confusion. Almost seems like a trade just to make a trade. It really seems like trading away your future for Raines. And considering Texas is a rebuilding team it doesn't make sense.

rebuilding teams wouldn't trade for suter would they? So why approve the first one. Either way by approving the first deal you have opened the flood gates to what I said would happen.

Ok this is aimed at Andy and Matty. As far as value goes here this is a compltley legit deal. You let him deal for Suter so if he wants to go this direction he should be able to now. Raines and Scudder are both going to be good pitchers especially since neither of them should peak on their next bday. Combine the fact that 3 of the specs I'm getting back are 22-23 yo players, one of them being a 1B which are a dime a dozen. Then the other two are in there to give the deal a bit more value considering SP's are a lot harder to get than any of these positions I'm getting back.
I need an offical decision by 12pm eastern friday since thats the last possible moment I will be able to post a dc.
