PIT gets
3B Aaron Wittmann 93 30 yo 16.5 mil thru 2032
WAS gets
2 mil
PIT 3rd 80th
Wittmann has a NTC which i am buying out for the cost of 15 mil. This is obviously largely a buyout for WAS and am officially going hard.
this also pends a sim 4 major injury or drop

This is going to need some good, very good reasoning from killa. Washington's block says "don't low ball me", which gives no indication that a player like Wittmann could be had for peanuts.

I need to get rid of a large contract. I didn't get a single PM from a GM and no one really seem too interested when I inquired about trading Wittman. Of course I would have loved to get more but it didn't work out that way. And if I don't trade him now my cash will continue to be depleted at a substantial rate. As much as I'd love to keep Wittman I'd rather trade a bit of my offense and hopefully decrease enough payroll to get me out of this sticky situation.

Did you try inquiring to anyone if there was interest? This just seems lazy - veto.

I was on for two hours today trying to work out deals before the draft. I did the best I could for Wittman, he has a NTC which is a huge deterrent. I'm in a financial fiasco and getting rid of Wittman will help my financial stresses a lot.

I really thought you guys respected veteran gms and the mods were to protect the interests of both teams. killa and I have both been here long enough to know what is right for our teams. I could understand this veto if it were a new unknowing gm but Killa is an experienced gm here and has had wittmann on the block since the offseason with no other inquiries.
Wittmann only approves trades to FLA based teams so he certainly doesnt fit in Florida's budget and Tampa wouldn't make any sense for him. Any trade partner would need to have a lot of cash and budget flexibility alone to be able to absorb that financial responsibility so I am not exactly sure why this is an issue between two respected gms here.

So...if you weren't getting any hits on your previous block - did you consider posting that you are in financial trouble and your price tag on these players has come down?
The issue here is that your trades are being forced by a short-sighted approach and now you are selling off those mistakes with a similar approach - compounding the problem. You're selling at a dreadfully low rate, at least in part, because you're not proactively handling the problem.
I'm guessing I speak for the other mods in saying that we'd like to see a more active approach to fixing your problems before we shrug and say "veteran GM...oh well...."

Echoing what's been said, update your trade block. I'm not surprised people are deterred by a 30+ age, 15M+, NTC player when you say "don't low ball me". That probably makes most people think don't even come asking unless you're willing to part with a pair of 90+ peak prospects.
Plus there's the whole thing where we were kind to not force Wittmann and Hardigg to FA and allow you to negotiate a contract just 2 off-seasons ago. It shouldn't take an "oh shit" moment to realize what's upcoming.
