I sent DJ a message and we had a little discussion about this. I figured one of the areas that will be an obvious concern is how you guys feel. So I wanted to bring my suggestion to dj to the front of the class.

I would like to try a new challenge. So I have asked dj to let me take over one of the open teams and let Chicago become available to a potential new owner. I feel that this will help the league in moving some of the blood in the league around a bit. This is probably something that will take me 5-10 years to turn some of these teams around but it will be a fun challenge.

DJ is not a fan of teams jumping ship but I think this has him interested because it is not your typical jumping ship to greener pastures. Chicago is in a good position and is set to be in a good position for many years to come. It will also be an attractive team to a new owner.

Would anyone have any objections if I were to do this?

Also, if I were to do this, I would prefer to take over an AL team (different build strategy).

Personally I would be ok with you taking a different team as you're an established guy. One problem I could see though is new gm;s often find taking a shitty team as being "sexy" since they can make it their own. However you have been here so long that I think an exception should be made.
