I Propose a Trade

Dejota Offers:

-80% Buyouts (20% lower)
-One 50% Buyout per team (This offseason only)

League Offers:
-0.6% Reduction in 90s players
-1.4% Reduction in 90s peak players
-2.6% Reduction in 80s payers
-5.6% Reduction in 80s peak players

Currently there are 130 90+ overall players (4.33/team, 6.2% of all players) and that's ridiculous. It's well above the 3.9% we have it set to and that's been consistent for a few seasons. I really think it's paramount to league health to lower talent and in exchange I offer teams a little more flexibility to help adjust. Simply vote if you accept or don't and we'll see where it goes.

Thanks,

DJ

if we do not have a buyout do we get cash or something to subsidize the difference?

Just the 80% on future buyouts.

approve.

I dunno I think it is only fair for those teams who have done a smart job and do not have bad contracts, they should get a bonus?

Otherwise there is no positive for lowering talent unless it comes from your team personally.

So my belief is for a team who does not use this they should get a free winterball or 10 mil cash.

hokey has a point.

The two are completely unrelated in this context. The ultimate goal here is to address talent not to help irresponsible teams out. I can't see more than 1/3 of the teams having a contract it'd even make sense to buy out at 50% at this point tbh.

if that is unrelated then so is the idea of dropping buyout rate and giving a 50% buyout.

otherwise this is just going to help out people like HB, he can trade a player like hellickson to a team with a prospect, and all of a sudden he is fixed, and that has nothing to do with dropping the talent level either.

So why add this in if you are not willing to give cash or a winterball, which is less leeway than the idea of a 50% buyout.

Because I hate Flordia OFC!

The two are unrelated in the "helping irresponsible teams" sense. Again the reason it's being included has nothing to do with or helping (or hurting for that matter) anyone. If anything it's there since lowering talent will inevitably result in players who were signed as a 91 becoming an 89.

So then we should be allowed to restructure a deal if a player is affected to drop below 91 at any point within a year?
