I'd say having your ace in your long relief is that bad. at least he will still get some inings and its kind of smart to do that if you know you will lose anyway. It protects his arm. Best hitter on th ebench though is obvious tanking, if your gonna do that put him in AAA so at least you can say your protecting him.
