I would question whether Gonales is really an upgrade. Offensively Tramel is a much better producer overall. It would take a season like 2051, which Gonales has not done since, to perform better than Tramel. Gonales is definitely better defensively, but Tramel is no bum in the field, he's quite solid - average at worst. And then there's Berry, who is probably the future and is the guy to look to if you want an upgrade over Tramel.
However, the pitcher has some great vitals, but gets rocked like a wagon wheel. So, it's not of much consequence to deal him for Gonales and not enough to veto, so I would approve. I would just highly question if catcher was really a need.
