The first one, I don't care either way. If it happens, all I ask is if you post the player in releases early enough that the player gets released or sent to another team before the next sim happens. Especially after drafts. I don't like playing 2 position players at same position in same minors, so if I draft guys that i like more than the players I have, I may want to cut some of the crappy specs that I don't like. I wouldn't want to have the players I posted to release to still somehow be on my team once that sim happens, and potentially hurt the players' development that I just drafted, since it could be more than 1 position players in same minor league level. 1 sim def can be a big difference for a prospect.
The decade long deals are a little tricky. I'm not against it, but it would suck to have a new guy or semi new guy to come in and bid 10 years on a player then he bails. Offering 7 years and bailing would too be rough, but not at the same extent as a decade long deal. If the player isn't that amazing, then it could hurt finding a replacement. Maybe you offer the new GM a free release or something, or nothing and hope to find a new GM that is ok with the contract. I'm not against this, just concerned if people will do this and bail. If the league thinks it's ok, then it's good enough for me.
