Release Waivers
Any team can put a claim on someone's releases. They will work just like the waiver process. I pitched this years ago and I never got why it was shot down so quickly. It can save on the hassle of releasing a player, only to have them bid on the next sim for a draft day deal, and having to edit their contract.
1. Any team can place a claim on releases.
2. The lowest win % to claim within 24 hours gets the player. First come, first serve after 24 hours.
Arbitration
Something that Mogul doesn't do properly is arbitration years for a player signed through free agency. If you sign a guy with 3.102 service time to a $1M/2 contract in FA, he should still have one more year of arbitration after the contract is up.
1. If you have a former free agent signing that will end the year with less than 6.000 service time, post in your in-season re-signings to have his contract changed to "arbitration".
2. The change needs to be posted before the final regular season sim. Failure to offer the player arbitration in the off-season will result in a $10M fine.
8-10 Year Offers
I don't think we've ever said "Yes" or "No" to offers beyond 7 years. 7 years is the norm for Mogul, but realistically they do happen from time to time.
8 Years Min Salary: $17.5M
9 Years: $20.0M
10 Years: $22.5M
