What about a small wager, like $1M? Maybe something like (if 10 brackets entered) 3rd place gets $1M, 2nd place gets $2.5M, and 1st place gets $6.5M. It's sort of a doubling increment (14%, 28%, 56%). 3rd place gets their money back, 2nd place makes a little, and 1st place makes a solid amount.
