I think doing the overall file in the offseason is a great idea. Esp how you've described it thus far and changing draft from here on out. However, I do like the idea of having the option of taking a spec, with the same overall rule set we have for winter ball, to add a position for them. So for example, you have your typical high defensive SS spec that's gonna be a career bench guy. Instead of trying for the 1-3 peak jump with winterball you can add a position he can play. Will give you the chance to have a fielder like Josh Harrison of the Pirates who literally has a glove for almost every position. Just about every major league has a player like that on the bench that can play almost every IF position. Can't play every position great but can hold his own there. With obiviously SS being the highest penalized if not they're primary position. Just a thought.
