You know what I find ironic, we aren't even talking about hokey tanking in this thread, this is more about others who went past the hokey tanking ways.

Coming from the guy that played a 3b at 2b so he could accrue 30 or so errors

I think most of us want to keep this a civil matter that has the leagues best interest as a whole at the forefront of our suggestions. If we went on finger pointing and bitching, this would become a pre-school tantrum match that wouldn't solve shit. Plus, there's no point in stating the obvious....the examples you've set are one of the reasons this conversation has reached such serious lengths.

Tanking Rule
If a team falls below 60 "real" wins, they are subject to fines. "Real" wins are defined by the formula below:
Your Wins - ( [81 - A] / 5) = Real Wins
A = Average wins of the other 4 teams in division
Fines
59-55 Wins = Loss of 5-25M and 1 WB Slot
54-50 Wins = Loss of 30-50M and 2 WB Slots
Under 50 Wins = Loss of ALL Cash (In-Game and Bank) and ALL WB Slots, both for 5 Years
Is this assuming the tiered penalty that was suggested?
50 Wins = 50 Mil fine
51 Wins = 45 Mil fine
52 Wins = 40 Mil fine
Etc....
Also, these are just a 1 year penalty (excluding the -50 wins), correct?
I think that what we have laid out here is a pretty good guideline if so. Like I said before, I think that there is always going to be some gray area and a loophole or two, but I'm all for giving this a try.

This looks like a concensus has been reached. Have no problem with wiping out cash for a sub 54 win season. I do believe a 5 YEAR PENALTY from winterball is excessive, big time.

5 year wintervall is a bit much, i think every year youre below the win total you lose it for that year, howevwr back to back under the win total season should make it a 5 year ban

you mean the fact that I am still playing a 3B at 2B, and yet magically, I have 110 wins and you have 83?

Honestly, that's the point. I want to make the punishment so harsh it makes people fear even toeing the line.
This issue and people complaining about it is by far the most obnoxious issue in our league. So if this is excessive - good. Then hopefully I'll never have to invoke it and no one will even make it close.

Honestly, I think even 3 years is pretty steep. If using the 5 year rebuild model, by then teams are starting to come out of the 60's win seasons and getting into the 70's in wins. Plus repeated offenses make it longer and could bring up the possibility of having picks slide back to later in the draft.
