Soo MLB Trade Rumors is reporting that the yankees are interested in Haren...if the yankees trade for Haren, it would have to involve Montero.

Boston is not done, they know they cant win the division with what they got. I still say Werth is going to the Red Sox even though we've heard no reports on this. As for Haren, if he comes to the Yankees, it better not be for Montero, no no no no no.

Oswalt to StL? Time will tell but its getting alot of attention here. I don't think it will happen for the current offer of Jon Jay and Mitchell Boggs though. If it does then hell ya..

They're saying we want two top minor leaguers, a third smaller piece and one major league ready piece as well.

I think if those two were involved it'd be two more minor pieces or one more major piece coming our way. I just hope that Jay isn't involved b/c w/ Pence, Michael Bourn and Lee he'd be relegated back to AAA. And if there's one area of relative strength in the Astros farm system, it's OFers.

I'm confused as to why STL is interested in doing this deal. If they give us 3 or 4 pieces that do work out they have to deal with this for potentially a decade whereas HOU probably wouldn't have to put up w/ Roy for more than next season, maybe two before age will start taking its toll.

I think of all the "interested" teams (STL, PHI, MIN) MIN can offer the best package, but none of them are willing to part with anything impressive as a centerpiece so maybe a deal around Jay/Boggs is the best we can do. Although, I'd prefer Shelby Miller/Boggs as a starting point. However, my logic never seems to be similar to the Astros so who knows!

Is there something about wearing an Astros logo that automatically makes the rest of the league perceive you as complete an utter shit?

I just heard somebody say they'd prefer LaRoche to Berkman in one breath and in the next say Luke Scott could also be a solid alternative...

I mean Luke Scott was labeled a AAAA player while he was in HOU and was a(n) (insanely dumb) throw-in for the Miggy deal...Now suddenly he's a viable, if not preferable, alternative to Berkman?!

I know Berkman isn't the 300+ 35+ 100+ guy he was before but he's certainly still has value yet on any team that needs a 1st basemen/OF/DH type he's way down on the list. Color me confused.

Well, the Angels are effed this year. They need to win 3 in a row again Tejas. If not, expect Abreu, Matsui, Rivera, Fuentes to be available
