SP Matt Bashore: $7.3M for 5 Years
1. $7.0M for 5 Years
2. $7.1M for 5 Years
3. $7.2M for 5 Years
4. $7.3M for 5 Years

This was done after $31M was deposited in the bank, so the bank would need to be done first as the extra cash makes Bashore ask for about $1M more. If the bank can't be done first, then disregard this re-signing offer.

I was told players under 6 years of service time can get their contracts edits to the draft day, arbitration style contracts.

Contract Edits
C Adrian Nieto - Draft Day (Under 3 Years of Service)
SS Joe Keele - Draft Day (Under 3 Years of Service)
RF Nick Jones - Draft Day (Under 3 Years of Service)
SP P.J. Dean - Arbitration (Under 6 Years, but Over 3 Years of Service)
RP Frederic Olica - Draft Day (Under 3 Years of Service)
RP Dan Jennings - Draft Day (Under 3 Years of Service)

I think you have misunderstood. If mogul screws up and doesnt recongize the 6th year of arby he is supposed to get then we fix it if you so choose to take him to arby. Otherwise its normal arby negotiation as usual where you subit your deal to an arbitor in the game.

DJ told me I didn't need to worry about signing Urckfritz or Dean to multi-year contracts as they'd be edited to the arbitration deals. With that concept anyone under 3 years of service time should have a draft day deal. They shouldn't go to arbitration every year, only the year past their initial 3 years. Really everyone signed as an FA with under 6 years of service time could be given a "draft day" contract. The game will recognize their service time and adjust their arbitration and free agency dates accordingly.

And it's not "if" Mogul screws up, because it will screw up. The only way I've seen Mogul recognize the 6th year arby is if they're exactly 5 Years, 0 Days of Service Time. For some reason the past two versions have recognized only 5 years of team control.

What happens is if during the 5th year he tries to sign a long term deal you can either do that or offer him an extra arbitration year at 1.33x his current contract.

I already know that.

I attempted to sign the pitchers I mentioned above for 2 years. When I saw they were only signed for 1 year I messaged DJ. He told me it really didn't matter since contracts are supposed to be edited and that I would get the additional years of team control that they should have. Something like 3 years for Dean and 2 for Urckfritz. I'm not sure of the exact amount as I don't have Mogul on this computer.

This isn't a rule but I won't process this. If you'd like to extend him please post it in your offseason resignings post. That file is hard enough to do without have to process transactions at different times so I've always asked GMs to refrain from extensions during this point in the season.
