FCM HOF HITTER TYPES

Players are now put into different build types, rather than the standard position they played. For what hit type each player falls into is done in order as below:

1. Catchers: Since even the best of health catchers still miss at least a month of action due to being tired, this is the one position that remains intact.

2. Power: 400 HR or .500 SLG - Either of these two stats suggests that the player was a consistent 25+ HR threat (if not more). Most of our HOF bats reside here. These are simply the easiest HOFs to identify.

3. Speed: 400 SB - If a player doesn't have those power numbers, but has 400 SBs, then they're a Speedster. Again, this is with the thought of them being a consistent 25+ SB threat (if not more) and everyone likes them some VROOM!

4. Contact: .300 AVG and Under 200 HR - If after the first three steps a player is still looking for a type and they can meet these two criteria, then they were an extremely great contact bat. While they weren't the most flashy, they racked up a ton of hits and a very high average.

5. Balanced: There isn't a reali criteria for this one, it's simply the remaining HOFers. However, it's basically the 200-399 HR club. Their combination of power and speed/average got them in the HOF.

The 85%: This is 85% of the group's HOF Average counting numbers. What I've found is if a player hits ALL of these counting numbers, then they will at least not be the gatekeeper at any one category. I feel it's a good baseline to judge if a player a HOF worthy or not.
