Just out of curiosity, why would you release a guy who has a slash-line of .292/.415/.479/.894 with 5 home runs, 16 RBI and 31 walks in 144 ABs who only costs $520K per year?

Why should I keep him when I don't have room for him on bench. I already have 1B Casey Kotchman and I'm bringing up 1B Manny Capestany soon, so Casey Kotchman is a temporary fill for now. I'm not competing and he's obviously not going to be my future 1B. I'd rather release him and have someone use him than let him waste away in the minors. In other words, i'm getting rid of deadweight.
But please in the future don't clutter my threads with pointless questions. Please keep your questions to xat chat or PM or something. |
