this deal makes no sense, your saying you are getting a solid cf in the future, but your also losing a decent pitcher. At the very least you could have got someone like Rizzo from Pittsburgh?
To me for a team that is not going to compete this year or next year or maybe the year after that, the trade does not make sense.
If you do not like the pitcher, shop him around and you would likely get a player around 95 peak as well.

Yeah, agreed, a 17 year old is far more valuable to a rebuilding effort than a guy who is probably a 4th starter. A good fourth starter, but that's all he is.
I'm not a huge fan of Cusak (Toth's vitals are better), but you have to coordinate the rebuilding effort. 22 years olds aren't the way to do that Decker. In fact, 22 year olds are pretty much peaked in this league.

In addition to what's been said, both of the players Boston would be getting have already seen their 2025 development, so they probably aren't going to be as good as their peak might lead you to believe. Toth is probably going to peak out at around 82 or 83 while Ray (with more probable time to develop) could peak around 84.
It's true Cusack is raw, but he's only 17 and his vitals are on par for his age. Patience is needed with young players like him and if you see players out like him you'll be happy with the results. Look at my team, for example. I've drafted Brent Ruediger, Jason Barker, and Margo Alvarez as under 18 age players. So far Rueduger has some very nice vitals (just needs adjusting to the majors), Barker is looking like a promising close to ready prospect, and Alvarez still has some years to go but is developing nicely.
At worst, as said, you can get better prospects if Cusack isn't your cup of tea. Someone will like the potential. Without diving too much into Cusack's specifics, I wouldn't hesitate to think that you couldn't in the least get a closer to ready low 90s prospect straight up. And you could likely get another solid mid 80s prospect added in as well.
