I accept. Hate losing the picks even though they are late round picks,, but Iwahasi has a chance to bring a young top end of the rotation type talent to a very weak pitching staff. This helps me get closer into the playoffs this year and helps me with the fan base in New York. I also can make up the cash very easily so losing that much doesn't hurt me.

Top talent? As I said in the chat, Iwahashi looks like Livan Hernandez with more K ability. How Livan keeps getting a job with a 5.00+ ERA for the past how many seasons is beyond me. You might be able to make up the cash, but NYY also has a large revenue sharing bill each season. Iwahashi isn't bad, but this translates into two first round picks, a second, and a third.

I'm just not ok stamping the ok on this type of overpayment from a GM that is on "watch" mode as far as I'm concerned. Iwahashi is not worthy of this kind of overpayment. The cash needs to get out of this deal.
