Stadium Effects

We've decided the way we do stadium effects isn't right. Originally we changed the effects years ago to reflect the real life park factors found on fangraphs. The problem is how we make changes to the effects is a team makes changes to their stadium or builds a new one. The process I tried to put forth just isn't changing effects the way I had planned.

After this season we are going to fix everyone's stadium. If you have an issue with the new effects, we can discuss what you envisioned your stadium to play like. From here on out we will have a new process for effects when you make changes.

Stadium Upgrade Guidelines

1. Note your original stadium effects.

2. Click "Calc Stadium Effects".

3. Make your changes to dimensions and playing field. Click "Calc Stadium Effects" again.

4. The difference in #2 and #3 will be the changes you will get from your original effects.

EXAMPLE: You have 100 HR in-game. You get a HR effect of 105 after hitting "Calc Stadium Effects". You make your changes and hit "Calc Stadium Effects" again and get 110 HR. Your difference is +5, so your new effects will be 105 HR.

A few restrictions will still apply:

1. Infield Quality cannot be changed from Average

2. Visibility will make strikeouts as follows...
Poor = 108
Fair = 104
Average = 100
Good = 96
Excellent = 92

Upgrade Convenience/Comfort/Sight Lines
To figure out your cost go to BUDGET...BUILD STADIUM...

Note your initial "TEAM PAYS" amount and what it shows after you have made your changes. The difference, rounded down to the nearest $Million will be your cost.

EXAMPLE: If you start with a TEAM PAYS of $147.580M and by increases your TEAM PAYS changes to $231.057M you would pay $83M.
