In-Season FA Rules - mattynokes - 05-06-2024 In-Season Free Agents -- Peaked players are first come, first serve during the season (once the Spring Training file has been posted) as Draft Day (Minor League) Deals. -- Players are not considered Free Agents until they are listed as a Free Agent in a posted file. -- The don't be an ass rule still applies. Only sign players that you intend to use or for necessary injury insurance depth. If abused, you will be forced to sign all players for guaranteed money. Non-Peaked Players 1. Any team can place a draft day/minor league contract offer on a player. As long as no one offers a $600K salary then the lowest winning percentage wins the player on a draft day contract. (24 hour rule applies) 2. Whenever offering a draft day/minor league contract, post your current record along with the offer (in the off-season use the previous regular season record). 3. Whether you offer a draft day or minor league contract, it means the same thing, you will have the player under team control until he amasses six years of MLB service time. Tiebreakers - In case current winning percentage is the same: 1. Current Season Pythagorean Record 2. Previous Regular Season Record 3. Previous Season Pythagorean Record |
