2077 Draft - AndyP - 11-19-2017
Looking for thoughts on next year's draft as I look ahead. The offseason is slated to start 12/14, meaning the next season will start on 12/21.
I'm looking at adjusting that a bit, but the draft is going to fall on some rough days. Here's my thoughts, post your own if you have any:
WB and ST combined on 12/19
Sim 1 12/20
Sim 2 12/21
Break for holidays
Sim 3 1/2
Sim 4 1/4
Draft on 1/7
That's a 10 day break, longer than usual, but I think it makes the most sense this year.

How about a break after sim 4 so we can at least do an offline draft -- maybe set a rule for auto picking after 24 hours.
Sim 1 - 12/20
Sim 2 - 12/21
Sim 3 - 12/22
Sim 4 - 12/23

My other suggestion would be to speed 2076 up, like complete the final 3 sims in consecutive days so we can avoid simming 4 in a row in 2077.

We could if we escalate the offseason
We could begin the offseason on the 13th (24 hours for resignings)
FA sign on the 15th
Comp guys sign the 17th
WB and ST on the 18th
Sim 1 19th
Sim 2 20th
Sim 3 21st
Sim 4 22nd
Offline draft until sometime between January 3-5

I have bumped up this season, eliminating sim 13 and putting the playoffs on Sunday the 10th.

Sim 1 Monday 12/18
Sim 2 Tuesday 12/19
Sim 3 Wednesday 12/20
Sim 4 Thursday 12/21
Off until January. I'm thinking January 4th for our draft in the XAT. It'll be a night one, as of now I'll schedule it for 6:30pm ET on Jan. 4.

If we're gonna sim back-to-back days, then it makes more sense to do that for Sims 11-13 for 2076.

Sim 13 - 12/7
Playoffs - 12/8
Re-Signings Due - 12/10
FAs Sign - 12/12
Comp Sign - 12/15
WB/ST - 12/16
Sim 1 - 12/17
Sim 2 - 12/19
Sim 3 - 12/21
Sim 4 - 12/22 or 23
