2059 - AndyP - 10-21-2015
2059 will officially be our 50th season in existence. To be frank, that is basically unheard of in this era of mogul and as far as I'm concerned I hope it's 50 more.
If anyone has some suggestions for what they'd like to see or hear during that season as a way to celebrate our existence, I'd love to hear ideas! Here are a few I had:
1) Special draft podcast on "Best Draft Classes" or "Best Team Drafts" or "Crazy Value Picks" over the course of our existence
2) A special veteran committee-like "One More Shot at the HOF" for some guys like Capestany, Todd Becker, Carlo Musquez, and others that maybe just need one more fair shake at the big prize.
3) Blog series on GMs that have come and gone?
I'm open to ideas, I'm hoping to make this a really cool and fun thing for those that have spent some time here and for those new to appreciate the history this league has managed to build for itself. So please respond with ideas or volunteer yourself for some input!

-An Overall discusson about how FCM came to be, how it transformed (Who was in charge, Where people may have gone, what changes were made to further make the game as realistic as possible) and a talk about individual GMs over the years and what they've added OR subtracted from the league would be great for me. This would all be done as a blog talk between a good number of hosts and featuring guests in a perfect world.
-Also, any way we can get JHC to simulate the top 30 teams of all-time to a 162 games season and playoffs to see who would really take the cake?
-Opening of a GM Hall Of Fame?
-Special 50th Season Banner made with the '59 Champs if at all possible?
I honestly wouldn't mind chipping some dough in for FCM baseball T-Shirts with our names on the back either. The cost is $26 a shirt, but can be knocked down to $23 with no numbers (was thinking everyone get 50 for the 50th season) and down to $19 if we have no names or numbers. Maybe maybe we vote to see if that's worth it for people or not. This is just a design I came up with in 30 minutes this morning, so open to other design ideas.

Interesting suggestions PR. I like the 30 team tournament idea. Just not sure how feasible it is.
Unless someone wants to edit all 30 teams, but it will be a bit bastardized I would imagine.

I still think it would be awesome to do a meet up sometime. A real live draft. I would fly in to wherever for that.

I wouldn't mind doing that either!! Only thing is we would all need to find a place cheap to fly and cheap to stay unless someone has a mansion they haven't told us about. It would make sense to do all this closer to the mid west, like Chicago, Wichita, Minnesota or Detroit or some shit.
