Tampa/CHC trade - GoIrish - 10-15-2010 :TBR: send David Price (95) 13.5M through 2014 :CHC: send Nick Trudeau (81/95) arb Juan Gonzalez (61/90) arb Tony Morris (64/89) arb Please process my FA pick up (Justin Duchscherer) along with the ARZ trade before doing this trade. I am taking a bit of a chance in this trade that I can either A) negotiate a contract or B) he ops to take his option year. I have a friendly agreement with tampa in place between him and I if he opts out of the contract. I think getting one of the top pitchers in the game in his prime is worth the risk. RE: Tampa/CHC trade - EPIC xX Fate Xx - 10-15-2010 I agree, Price going to a NL team is better then a AL team, and those guys should help me in my future. And yes we have a friendly agreement if he does opt out. RE: Tampa/CHC trade - terrythek - 10-15-2010 i don't really wanna know what this agreement is between you two but I am a little curious haha approve another good deal for the rays RE: Tampa/CHC trade - GoIrish - 10-15-2010 (10-15-2010, 04:36 AM)terrythek Wrote: i don't really wanna know what this agreement is between you two but I am a little curious haha The agreement we have between us is that if Price opts out or I cannot resign him after this season that I can get back either Gonzalez or Morris. That would give me the 1st round compensation for Price along with one of the players back. RE: Tampa/CHC trade - Jordan - 10-15-2010 We wont police the agreement. Approve. RE: Tampa/CHC trade - GoIrish - 10-15-2010 Last night I backed out of this deal 3 times and after more thought and having a night to sleep on it, I am going to back out of it for the final time. I am giving up way too much for the risk that I am going to assume. Even if I do get price to stay in Chicago it will be because he is the highest paid player iin the league and that goes against what I am trying to build. I really really want him in Chicago but the cost is too great in the means of salary and cost of prospects. Alright Veto RE: Tampa/CHC trade - EPIC xX Fate Xx - 10-15-2010 How are you gonna back out again once you already agreed in the forums? Wouldnt that go under the being an ass rule? RE: Tampa/CHC trade - terrythek - 10-15-2010 i will veto as well RE: Tampa/CHC trade - GoIrish - 10-15-2010 (10-15-2010, 12:56 PM)EPIC xX Fate Xx Wrote: How are you gonna back out again once you already agreed in the forums? Wouldnt that go under the being an ass rule? To be honest, I am really uncomfortable with our agreement. I first stated that I would want one of those two players back if Price went to FA. You agreed and I posted, after I posted the trade on the forums you replied to me that I would get a "prospect" between 87-90. I started to feel uncomfortable because you went back against what I first agreed with and that was either of the prospects mentioned, you can now work the out and give me a prospect I dont want if either io them jump and have a higher ceiling than 87-90 if Price walks to FA. Because you changed the wording in what you said, I will only agree to this trade if this stipulation is involved in the trade and approved by the trade mods. In regards to atlbravesfan, I don't see how a trade that does not involve you or your team is any of your concern. If I or one of the trade mods wanted your insight, we would have asked for it. The league has a policy in place that only teams involved and trade mods comment in the trade threads. |
