All-Time FCM Team - mattynokes - 11-28-2012 After next season (2034) and our 25th FCM campaign I will be reviewing our all-time team. I will be selecting a lineup w/ DH, bench, and 10 pitchers. There will be one spot left open for you to vote on. If you think I missed a name, let me know. But note that longevity and number of quality years is highly being taken into consideration. Simply cause a player was elite for a couple of seasons doesn't mean he should be considered. I believe every retired player I have so far has at least 1,500 hits or 150 Wins/3.00 ERA or 300 Saves. Awards are also highly taken into consideration. Lastly, active players will be considered by their current stats, not what their potential future production will be. Players must be computer generated and must be in line to have 12 seasons (below age on the top of the player profile) played after the 2034 season. Catchers Josh Jarmel Gabriel Gamora First Base Steve Miller Alan Bent Manny Capestany Tim Vandyke Jose Rabena Second Base Matt McArthur Third Base Ed Edwards Jamie Valdez Aaron Wittmann Short Stop Jay Sullivan (2B) Peter Potter Left Field Manuel Vargas James Aitkenhead (RF) Frank Prywes (RF) Center Field Rafael Romero Right Field Joaquin Murillo (CF) Mike Gartner Dominic Fulgham (1B) Starters Boris Turner Max Roberts Jeff Wych Alfonso Predrasa Edgar Vaio Steve Eickholt Fletcher Conyers Adrian Curray Brian Colley Jacob Widdup Corey Bosworth Stan Lomax Joe Arnold Ryan Christner (RP) Donovan Pace Relievers Rob Wood Clay Rosen Brian Metcalf Alan Jackson Edmund Poez James Threadgold Please don't turn this into a pissing match of who is better than who. RE: All-Time FCM Team - AndyP - 11-28-2012 Skipworth at catcher, Ramos at third, Enrique Rodriguez at second, OF Gartner RE: All-Time FCM Team - mattynokes - 11-28-2012 (11-28-2012, 12:26 AM)AndyP Wrote: Skipworth at catcher, Ramos at third, Enrique Rodriguez at second, OF Gartner Unfortunately only Gartner is eligible since the players must be computer generated. Skipworth is a real player while Ramos and Rodriguez were IFAs. RE: All-Time FCM Team - dlee2499 - 11-28-2012 OF Gary Drye? RE: All-Time FCM Team - Peter - 11-28-2012 how about splitting these AL and NL, and for guys that spent time in both you could use where they spent their prime RE: All-Time FCM Team - mattynokes - 11-28-2012 (11-28-2012, 01:18 AM)dlee2499 Wrote: OF Gary Drye? He won't have played 12 seasons in the bigs after next season. As far as I'm willing to predict/project is next season. The reason I have this qualification is if you compare his numbers to the others I have listed, he falls way short. In time it's possible he reaches the top hitters, but if his career ended after next year he wouldn't cut it. I think a top 25 of sorts will be just fine. RE: All-Time FCM Team - mattynokes - 12-15-2012 I'll open it up to any player that is at least in his tenth year. These players will still not make the list (they need 12 years), but they will be considered as up and comers to potentially some day make the list. |
