Amateur Draft Free Agent Signing Limit - sxr007 - 07-10-2012
I know some leagues have a limit of signing 2 amatuer draft free agents per 24 hours. This keeps one team from going in after the draft and signing a lot of the free agents. Almost falls under the "dont be an ass" rule.

First, let's get rid of the differences in offering a draft day or minor league contract. In the end they're the same. Once a player has 6 years of service time they will be eligible for free agency. This will help so whoever is lucky enough to post the player first doesn't get exclusive draft day offer rights. In theory the player should have the greatest chance to play for the team with the lowest record and would rather a contract with a team he could actually play for rather than being a career minor leaguer on a much better team.

I could care less, but you traded the majority (I guess majority isn't right since you had 3 picks). Wrong or against the rules? Nope. Excessive by picking up 10 more? For sure.
The rules don't need to be changed or have more added. it's just a dick move.

You're right I did trade most of my picks (I traded the 4th but it wasn't entered). I don't know where this means I can't try to sign UDFAs. I started threads on 7 UDFAs, none of them are closed yet. In the past I have been outbid on many so I had reason to believe that a few of them wouldn't stick.

If it was we'd have fired you for your average day interacting with arod long ago. I wouldn't wish that if I were you.
On this issue it seems pretty clear - if you're complaining now you should've voiced support for Matty's position. It doesn't make this right, but sometimes a little vocal support of an issue that can be an easy fix eliminates future problems.

I don't think most of us disagree sxr - it was bad form for sure, but it's also really hard to get anything changed without people supporting suggestions. So I would just push to look here more at what you can get behind.
In this particular case I think it would just be best if people limited themselves to 3 signings in the week following the draft and then after that it's wide open. Seems the easiest way to do things.
