I'm not against adding a 13 and breaking up that last 19 day sim into a 10 and 9 but in all honesty there is no real reason to "slow it down" aside from you guys feeling rushed while the others call it dragging out.agreed RE: Daily Sims - mav3rek - 06-14-2012 See no reason to keep daily sims. It's almost a punishment to playoff race teams. I'd personally like to enjoy the end of the season. Why rush the most exciting part of the year? RE: Daily Sims - AndyP - 06-14-2012 It's not about being rushed, it's just we fast forward through the pennant races for no reason other than boredom. And the easily bored crowd pretends as if no one is hurt by that. I didn't contend the first 8 seasons here but still really enjoyed the playoff races. They can be fun - not everything has to be "me, me, me!". That sort of nonsense is what causes controversies around here. You can't win a league that doesn't exist and selfishness kills leagues. I know - I've been around plenty to see it. The league is better off for recruiting and for running a realistic league to eliminate daily sims. That's simply a fact. Worse yet we have people that believe this method is an unfair way of deciding so I'll reiterate: Daily sims ONLY EXIST because two GMs (TWO!!!!!) went to our commish and squeaked loudly enough that the commish got tired of hearing it and said "ok" just to shut them up. I ask again, which is more fair - A poll and a discussion or that? RE: Daily Sims - piazza31 - 06-14-2012 says the gm trying to get other gms bored essentially by getting rid of daily sims for really 0 reasons that ive seen RE: Daily Sims - AndyP - 06-14-2012 Are you unable to read? We've wrecked waivers, disrupted agent negotiations, and robbed contending teams of a meaningful experience. I'd love to hear if anything other than boredom or ability to whine justify why we have them. But good try...first you claimed this method was wrong without knowing the facts. You have a penchant for "spew BS first....think later" RE: Daily Sims - dlee2499 - 06-14-2012 against daily sims... like most people here i have a life and if i cant be on for a day i dont wanna be penalized. plain and simple. RE: Daily Sims - Cdawg - 06-16-2012 It's still 6 votes in favor of keeping it so even if those two GM's did cry loudly enough, they cried loud enough for the other 4. RE: Daily Sims - AndyP - 06-16-2012 And totally ignored the 9 people who hate them. At least you're having a chance to voice your support for them Cdawg - the nine of us that had this swept in without discussion weren't afforded that. RE: Daily Sims - mzylinski - 06-16-2012 I voted indifferent but i like the way things are now, slow and steady 3 sims a week, then a little quicker pace late in the season RE: Daily Sims - mav3rek - 06-18-2012 Reason number 746 to get rid of daily sims. 2.5 games out of the playoffs, arguably my best pitcher is injured, and now I have 0 time to try and find a replacement. With a couple extra days, a trade could be worked out, but since we want to speed through everything, I just have to deal with it. And if you are going to counter this by saying, "You should have been more prepared and already had a backup plan", you can go ahead and save yourself the trouble of typing it in. |
