XAT?

There are up to 6 people who like the idea now. The only negative thing I believe is that it is a popup. I am trying to get it into a new tab but their appears to be no code to it. This could be a deal breaker in my mind if I am unable to make it a tab. Though as I predicted more people are starting to prefer this over the old way.

I am attempting to create a second index page. So people who like the automatic popup can view it that way, and people that like the chat embedded can view it that way.

For the record, 6 people is by far NOT the majority, so justify it anyway you'd like. i still think its a bad idea. Leaving it on the main page makes most sense and is easiest to and for me.. i understand what your trying to do, i just dont think its needed...

I felt that hokey was being extremely ignorant for making a statement with no background info after I said not to make a statement like that. That why I called him out. I'm sorry if you think it was an immature statement, after reading it over I for one do not. I am allowed to be brash and say what I do not like, just as you have voiced strong disproval about XAT.

I am attempting to see if it is possible to make a Java program where you can specifiy how you would perfer to use XAT, either embedded or as a popup, and you should only have to set it one time on your computer.

pretty sure I stated why I hated it, don't fix whats not broken. But really it is just annoying have two things open if people really care than they can open a new window themselves for the chat. Solves the problems.

No reason to be bitchy... even if my statement was unlikeable. Also I didn't read it because I have been busy, and this really is not a huge issue, as I don't even see why you would change it in the first place.

Also of the 6 people who liked it, how many of them said I don't really care? I doubt it was all 6, but thanks Stang!

You'll be happy to know that its 8 now haha. And no they didn't say they don't care one way or the other, they said that they think the popup is actually more efficient. Like I predicted it just takes time for GMs to get use to changes.

Well i've said the problem it solves before. I'm not gonna mess with it anymore tonight but I will look into it tomorrow. I want to find away so you have the option to set your computer to either view it that way or embedded. If I cant then I will likely just change it back.

And I don't feel like I am being 'bitchy'. The only 'bitchy' statement I will agree that I made in this thread was the one regarding Dejota. I'm just a little confused as to why some of you are arguing this soo strongly.

If your goal is to get xat to open in a new tab anyways, then people who want that feature can do it themselves already

xat.FirstClassMogul will open the xatbox without the league page

Personally, I've used that and just bookmarked the large forum sections to make them easy to get to (sections like General & General Manager)

Since I no longer use the xat on the FCM homepage, I have no opinion on it (haven't even seen it yet), but I do think it's silly for people to be arguing over such a trivial issue

I would think we could just keep it like it is and if you like having xat in a separate tab or window, just go to xat.FirstClassMogul and you've got it, while the others who don't want to aren't forced to

The point behind this is not to have a popup or a different window. The point was to stop XAT from logging you out every time you open up another www.firstclassmogul.com page. If we reverted back to the old way, it would be worthless to pop the window open as every time you go back to the main page XAT screws up. It does not anymore.

I'm trying to find away to use both, have an option so the user can specify which way they would like to view XAT. But this research does take time.

i like the xat as it is now. :)

much easier to navigate through the forum without the xat having to refresh everytime.

leave it how it is... I can watch porn on the left side of my screen, and leave the chatbox open on the right at the same time.
