We both know Jara has great vitals and makes for a great backup catcher, but I don't need these guys if i'm rebuilding. Bucardo and Collins are reaching their peaks, should hit it in a season or two, but i'm willing to take a risk on them - I lack pitching specs. The 2M is to cover for o-cabs contract.

Bucardo and Collins probably weren't going to contribute much here. OCab is best buds with my future catcher Hank Hughes and I snag some cash to go with him.

Jara will be my main catcher now and my backup for many years.
