Stadium Effect Adjustments
#1
If you haven't figured it out yet, the stadium effects have all been re-calculated. The reason is that we have been seeing some issues/bugs, so the re-calculation button is necessary for consistency in the future. If you want, you can have a freebie change to your stadium, so long that your stadium's effects was truly affected by the re-calculation.

Since Stadium Editor is locked in our file, startup your own game and edit your team's stadium (Playing Field and OF Dimensions) to whatever you like. So long that the Altitude is the same, whatever you change it to will be what it changes to in FCM. Post your changes in this thread and your stadium will be fixed.

Your effects will NOT revert to what they once were! Effects are now always going to be via the Re-Calculation click.

The Stadium Effects are largely just exactly what the re-calculation button says. However, there are a few of our sanity checks that are still in place.

Recap for changes
1. Must have a considerable change from what the current file shows to what it used to be at the start of this season.

2. Startup a new game. Make changes to your team's stadium until you get the desired effects.

3. Reply here with your Playing Field and Outfield Dimensions.

4. Keep in mind of the sanity checks (for example, Infield Quality MUST be "Average").

5. As long as we deem your stadium underwent a considerable change, you will get a free Stadium Effect adjustment.

Not sure I quite understand. For example since sim 7 my HR rating (one example) has gone for 80 to 117. I'd like to make it 80 again, so in order to do that I would need to open mogul with a new file (since ours is locked), edit my stadium and then exit mogul without saving the new game. Load sim 8 and it will be corrected? I'm not sure I follow it.

Well, you need to tell us your changes. Haha. I edited the post with instructions. I hope it clears it up.

My HR effect at the beginning of the season was 100, now it's 114.

My BA effect at the beginning of the season was 102, now it's 105.

My doubles were 99, now it's 93.

My triples were 131, now it's 107.

My strikeouts were 92, now it's 86.

My double plays were 100, now it's 95.

I'd like these effects to go back to what they were at the beginning of the season, thanks.

We are going by the re-calculation button now, so you can make changes to the OF Dimensions and Playing Field to get new effects, but the effects aren't manually going to be changed anymore (except for the caps on effects).

I think there was some miscomunication between matty and I when going over getting my park back to normlish. I've worked out how to get things close which I think still meets all the sanity requirements.

Dimensions:

LF 385
LCF 400
CF 425
RCF 400
RF 385

playing field

Infield Quality average
Infield Grass high
Visibility average
Fould Ground average

Let me try this again.

Dimensions:

LF 335
LCF 400
CF 420
RCF 380
RF 320

Playing field is the same.

Stadium Effects (before and after)

HR: 80 - 116
BA: 96 - 106
D: 102 - 98
T:93 - 110
SO: 92 - 86
DP: 100 - 95
E: 100 - 100
PF: 98 - 106

I'd like my stadium to reflect what they were, and not what why are now. (hence the first number)

Fould Ground: Average

Stadium Effects:

Batting Average: 104

Park Factor: 102

this is closest that i could get it to how it was and how i like it. current ones in the game just don't fit my style, at all.
