Updated Rules
#1
Sean, Andy, and I had discussed some possible rule changes in the off-season. Since none of the changes are major alters to the current ones, they will go in effect right now.

1. 90% Buyouts - Since we have to ability to set exact release percents we have chosen to go to 90 instead of the full 100. In the past there was no reason to release a player, since either way you were paying them. This gives a little incentive, but still having to pay the large majority of the contract.

2. In-Season Re-Signings - If the player's season age is 33+ you can re-sign for whatever you can get them to agree to on Mogul. Players 33+ no longer have to have their salary increased.

3. New Sign and Trade Rule - We feel the big issue with S&Ts are past us and we no longer need a black and white firm rule. It's up to the league on if this stays. We hope people are no longer habitually making S&Ts an issue.

Generally players will be held to a standard of remaining on your team for at least one year. Trade Mods have the right to veto deals past one year if they feel it was the same intent as signing the player and immediately trading him. Trade Mods also have the right to approve trades in which they feel intentions and trade reasoning are good and player situation justifies the move.

4. Contract Matching - You can now match a contract's total offer with less years and be the leading bid.

EXAMPLE

COL offers $3M/3 Years
TOR offers $4.5M/2 Years

TOR would be leading the bid since they matched COL and the player would prefer the same amount of money for less years. Someone else could offer $9M/1 to match and take the lead as well.
