Ok, I really always need a good defensive team and especially SS behind me no matter what. It's a way for me to be on the ready just in case my team actually starts winning sooner than I thought, defense always helps the pitching. I do not plan on continuing to deal pitchers however. I just did not have faith in either of these pitchers development.

Just doesn't make sense for a rebuilding team to trade two prospects for a guy who won't be around when the team is ready to compete.

McCree would never make my team. I do not like his vitals as a 19 year old, he is flat out power and his fastball isn't far enough for me to trust him throwing 92-94 MPH for swings-and-misses. He doesn't have control or movement, and while he could still advance in his development, he is 20 this off season and at 51 overall it's too far to tell whether he'd come close to the MLB team. Birirosca isn't far off and he would just become dead weight. None of these guys are really strong impact guys with talent, they are just solid looking specs who are nothing more than role players at their peak. I'm going to rack up prospects, I just like to have certain players on my MLB team at all time for depth. Never know when I can make a run ;)

On another note. I don't think this deal is catastrophic for the league or both teams. I don't feel like this will change the course of ship in Twins development and become detrimental to my entire farm system in the near or far future. While these specs do have some upside, you have a great deal of these players who 9 times out of 10 become bench warmers or role players. I'm going to gain my pitching specs as I go along in this process, but I want to deal certain specs where I think their value would max out the most for me.
