Yeah, I wasn't going to comment on that part of this....but this is a horrible package. Uckerman is a B or C level prospect and he's the centerpiece.

*The best solution to all of this is clearing both these deals out. SFG - go talk to Boras and get a short list of teams that are acceptable for you to deal to. Then post a trade*

He did get a list Andy. The Yankees were on it. Hence the approval from Boras

Well, I'm calling a bias opinion with one trade mod... Don't think Stangs vote should count to be honest. Not trying to make drama here. It's obvious he's aggravated with his recent attempted deal outcome.

That would be a nice approach but I'm no longer a trade mod.. so no bias here

I've looked this deal over more closely and it's not terrible. Let's face it, there's a limited number of teams that Boras will accept a deal and an even more limited number of teams that will want to take on Trembath. The package is rather "meh", but SFG has gotten himself into a mess. Yes, it's bad that he's flipping NTC guys so quickly, but the alternative is to force Trembath to stay in SFG and waste away while further hurting SFG's franchise.

Neither Maes or Uckerman are great, but both are solid and both are still pre-window. The best thing to do is just watch over re-signings better and not allow every deal to be submitted. Like I said in another thread, you can cripple a team just as much in FA/Re-signings as you can in trades. It's not about telling someone that they can't re-sign a player, it might be just telling them they need to wait (if the player has arbitration years left).

So I'll approve it.

On second thought after looking closer to this, this deal does not help SFG at all, just reloading average prospects are nothing so I will veto.

this deal looks great based on the ratings but honestly looking deeper into the value of the players i agree with andy. The players really aren't that good.
