Brewers accept. Obviously, a big salary dump of a player that is actually still a good player. He just cost too much for me now that I have two other SPs I like just as much who are much cheaper now that the Player Agent is no longer involved in negotiating contracts. I knew I obviously would not get much of anything in return, Im just glad I didnt have to GIVE a good prosprect along with Wearmouth just to get rid of him (like one of the other offers I had on Wearmouth).

Financially we have Ashe, Boz, and Vanner coming off our books so landing a quality arm (who we think will benefit playing for our defense) for a small package like this is something we have to try.
