Also it makes a lot of sense, just because you think the prospect is going to suck doesn't mean he is, its called the direction of the team. Adding a shitty player does nothing to texas, but it doesn't matter I just won't vote on texas deals since I was the one who actually got them back to being a team that had a good future, might as well let people slowly take pieces from it.

I know Bothwick drops over ST, but there's good chance that he will have the better vitals of the 2 as soon as the end of this season, much less how he'll be the better of the 2 by the end of next season while Bothwick also has 2+ years more of team control

I also fail to see how 1 90+ peak SP spect & 3 86-87 peak SP spects is considered to be having "many strong pitching prospects" to the point that you can trade one for some magic beans

But hey, the AL team getting the worse pitcher helps me out long term, so I'm done fighting the cause

Wow, looks like someone got a little too attached to the team he was supposed to look over. Because nothing of what I said suggested I thought Suter was great. His vitals aren't very appealing, so what? I know there's pitchers in this league with better vitals than him who get worse results. Suter has a career 0.75 HR/9 and that's very good.

Again, I don't think this is something I would do, but if I vetoed on that basis I would be vetoing a lot more deals. It's not terrible, Bothwick still has a lot to prove and Suter has been improving his numbers from year to year. If he stays in the low 4's ERA then he's a solid pitcher to have in the rotation.

Maybe, or I am just tired of teams picking everything off the new people. Who knows maybe you can pawn of one of your average players for one of his good ones and continue the trend. I know the next time I am going to trade for a spec my excuse will be, hes still got a lot to prove.
