Accepted DJ looks strong for at least 2 more years and by then Widdup will be 35 and declining. With this deal I can retool just a little and make my Starting pitching stronger overall instead of one ace.

I lose some big prospects, but I am willing to pay this price because A) Andy doesn't get him, and B) Sean does not get him. Both major opponents if we make it to the WS.

The cash helps the Marlins obviously, but this also puts our future in a tough spot.
