LAD accepts. We wanted a AAA level C spec that should be able to jump into the starting lineup in the next 2 years to match where our first wave of specs is projecting. Lawler is apparently that guy, He should pan out to be a nice defensive catcher. Deck is somewhat buried in our system, we have MIF specs with a higher upside that will certainly take priority over Deck as they develop. Porteous is a long way from being there, but was the other chip we were most willing to give up in this deal given the amount of other RP's we have in our system.

Deck interested me in this past draft and he was a prospect that I had targeted and porteous interests me from the aspect that I think he is a decent RP prospect to be converted to a SP. Lawler really is my 3rd/4th best catching prospect in my system.
