McGee was the second best player in the draft. In my opinion, you're looking too hard at sketchy data to come to any other conclusion.

Redwine is extremely nice, but I don't usually like taking a 1B that high unless he is really special. McGee is an unusual looking 1B.....speed and defense = that is rare combination. I think he was worthy of the number 2 pick whereas I don't think Redwine was.
