I think you did a fine job with the 2nd pick. On my draft board, I viewed this as a 4 player draft at the top of the draft. I thought there were 2 players that were capable of going #1 overall in Jasinski and McGee. They were my top tier of players my 1A and 1B. The next tier on my list was Baker and Alvarez as my 2A and 2B.
I don't have the file infront of me right now and I am going off memory but the only concern I think there is on McGee was his Senior year stats. They really did not play up to his vitals and I think that is why Matty and others did not view him as being an elite player. Time will tell but I think you got a good player and my line of thought is very similar to what Andy said about him on the podcast and what you said above. It is not often you get a player that can play good defense at 1st along with being a good hitter.
