BAL's bid is not illegal.
1. Threads couldn't close until 9:00 PM ET January 30th. So any bids up until then (no matter how much time in between the previous bid is valid).
2. There are no rules regarding how much offers need to increase, just unspoken formalities.
3. In all honesty BAL's offer is better. He makes more money in less time.
