Cubs get a real good solid bat for the middle of the order, I am hoping to get at least 2 good years out of him. The cost of 2 pitchers that are making 5.5M and 7.5M over the next 2 seasons so the difference in salary is 4M. With the acquisition of the new SP, both of these pitchers have become expendable and did not hold much value.
