red sox should have pick number 76 instead of 77. orioles should have pick number 77. dwight and barkman both got 8.5 mil deals, but as you told me in the past, the player that gets signed first goes in front of the one that was signed next, and dwight was signed first.

Cleveland should have pick 108 and Texas should have pick 109. Texas traded my the PIT 3rd, not the TEX 3rd. They were picks 92 (PIT) and 93 (TEX) before compensation.

not according to andy. he flat out told me in xat chat in the past what determined that. and he said whichever one signed first.
Unfortunately, Andy was wrong. The higher overall has always been the tiebreaker. I remember when we were discussing how the order should go - highest salary or total contract, what the tiebreaker... The point of the order is to give a practical reason for who is more valuable and deserves better compensation. The overall is more objective than when a thread closes.
