Det/NYM

:DET: get:

Wilmer Flores SS 77/87 arby 17'
Ric Soto RP 77/84 arby 17'

:NYM: get:

Josh Donaldson C 84 arby 14'

:DET: accepts. Donaldson is a decent catcher, but with McCann on the bench and Monsalve waiting in the wings, i figured i'd move on now instead of paying Donaldson's arby raise next season. Flores and Soto are both a bit of a gamble, but hopefully they will turn into useful pieces

Mets accept, been looking for a catcher that can play better defensively then Montero (who is currently playing 1B) but also has a decent bat. Donaldson fits.

I agree that Detroit is likely getting the better of me, but I don't think Soto has much more potential to improve after this season, plus I picked him up earlier this year for a SP that has sat in AAA for KCR most of the year after declining from injury.

I only see myself giving up Flores.

True, both are within 10 of their peak, so they should not have too much left before they peak.

I like this deal for Detroit...Donaldson has been overrated for a long, long time. Approved
